I'd say 87 is a stretch with the 8.2L HO's with all the equipment you list.
Edit. To the OP's question, I have a lot of seat time in both the non-stepped and stepped 32 Sunny's but have only ever been in a 38 Fountain. I'm a huge Sunny fan from as far back as '01. That said, from a resale point of view, I'd think I'd put my money in a staggered 35 Fountain over a 32 Sunny. |

I supposed maybe you could spend 6800 per engine in parts on top end. If your a complete dildo and you buy engine hard parts thru a mercury dealer. Say like if you are into relabeled overpriced mediocre parts, or simply have no clue on how to spec a valvespring, and just want drop in pieces to make up for your (or builders) lack of competence.
