42 drive heights
 

Getting ready to cut out my 98 42 big step for #6s. It was glassed up and set up to be a stagger. What should the prop shaft height be and what should the center to center be on drive spacing. Thanks for the input🙂

My 2000 42 set up by fountain was like 1.1/2 prop shaft height above and 18 inch shaft center , a 98 is notched also ?

Sorry I was wrong it was set up with sportmaster lowers @ 1 1/2 bellow the bottom

You'll probably want to go with a 5 blade prop with that much power . The bottom of the assembly is up 6" from the bottom on the 850 boat I measured . Have always been told 1" above the bottom for pleasure use .I am trying to find some five blade 39 or 40's to try on mine . Running 38 6 blade now
