Swim step lid shock

I'm looking for the shock that holds the step lid up on a 2002 38'

What I can read on mine;
Springlift gas springs
49331

Specs on mine;
stud to stud centerline, extended is 7.5", compressed is 5"
shaft diameter is .312

NAPA has one that's close but feels a lot stiffer than mine. It's rated at 20#. They said it's the lightest they have.

Anybody have a legible shock with a part number? Brand?

Sounds exactly like the one I used on my lid for cabin entry. 7.5 long at 20pounds. I would think that would work

Being that it was all rusted out I ordered the SS version at 20#. Pt# ST31-20-1. The rod and tube sizes also matched perfect. I'd imagine mine is weak from age Maybe it'll help stop the step from rattling!!!
Woohoo, only 7 more months for boating season.
