42 straight bottom..
42 straight bottom listed in classifieds? Big and red.
never been around a non stepped fountain how do they run? Looking for ideas on performance..i like then plain-ness as a start. |
Straight bottoms aren't very fast. 550ish will get you mid 70s. Not many boats will ride better in snot. If it's a side by side it has a large cockpit. |
are you talking about the 95 staggered? That's gotta be close to a unicorn. 95 was first stepped year and most I think were side by side or triples. Looks great.

Boat looks awesome. I’d guess 100 at least. Maybe 110 if the motors are 1000+ and it’s set up. The 41 velocity with 1000sc supposedly ran 115+, similar size and power pad bottom boat. |
Boat looks super clean, non step. I would guess low mid 90's everyday at 900's. Being Brummett power now, could certainly be more than that & be in the 100's or close. You can really turn the non steps & they handle slop great The 6's & staggered would enhance that even more over my side/side BMax boat.

Boat looks real clean in the pics. Have seen it advertised over the years, very cool old school Fountain. I would think with that power it would be in the neighborhood of 100. If memory serves the first Ohio Steel boat ran a fair amount over that with not much more power. In any case that is one real head turner. Could sit in my driveway any day!

That boat was delivered new to Lake Texoma with 1000 SC's. I believe it ran right around 100 back in the day. It has always been one of my favorites. It was a serious machine back then and now.

Does anyone have anymore info on this boat ?
