Good question. I have a 35 also. I upgraded my motors to 650hp at crank. I run a set of merc 30p labbed props. I believe you should have merc 28s. My cruise speed at 3100rpm is 50mp wot is about 86mph depending on fuel load and wife as a speed limiter. If I put the 28p back on my rpm wot is the same. Rpm is the same and my cruise speed at 50 mph is at 3600rpm. I don't want to think about this issue anymore. It drives me crazy

The old owner has signature 28P on it now. He said it runs 55 mid and 72 top end. It's a new stock motor. He also has a set of bravo 28P and a set of hydro which I'm not sure of the pitch. He said the hydo will increase my speed a little.

I have a 95 35. Spinning 27 hydros currently. 60@4100 cruise. My motors made 570 in full marine trim through wet exhaust. However the 27s were what came with the boat with stock 502 mags. Boat loves them. QIVs. I haven’t begun all the wot prop testing yet as I’ve had a couple bugs to chase. I would see what those hydros are and do for you.
