modern look ! but why the beak has a white part instead of all black?

I use to have a wrap and my trailer bow blocks would get into it when loading.
The ramp I use is steep. Had to do it that way to save the black paint. The white you see is original gel.

The beak has an odd curve. I cut some of the wrap off so it would clear when loading. I didn’t like this look.
