42 lightning difference hulls 99-2019
 

Someone explain the difference in 42 hulls through these years please or any major differences in decks cabins

Quick version. 95-97 small step. 98-99 big step. 00-04ish next iteration. 04/05 to present was final bottom. The bottom changes from 98+ had everything to do with handling over 100mph.

Cockpit interior changed 07 and cabin in 08 though I think the cabin upgrade was an option and not all had it

Good info thanku. What kind of cabin upgrade? The height?

Newer more modern look. High gloss timber veneer on cabinets and trims, more plush cushions in beige/cream color and a different opening to the vee berth. Very nice cosmetic upgrade. Similar update on the 35 and 38 models too.
