If there's bottom paint on the hull it could impact your performance.

True, generally on all of my boats bottom paint accounts for 2-3mph loss.

Put a rev4 17p on today.....ran about the same as the merc offshore unfortunately....only got 44 at 5500rpm....guess I will raise the motor a few holes.....def need to see 50 otherwise I am buying a 300vrod or selling.

Found a problem.....at over 3500 the top two cylinders are not sparking, swapped coils same thing, top two.....thats probably why I am not pulling rpm even with a 17 rev4. Ordered a new stator, I will keep myself posted lol!
