Looking to sell 29 Fever

Hey all, I am looking to sell my 99 Reggie Fountain Edition 29 Fever. I am not sure what a reasonable asking price is for it though. It has a brand new blown 541ci big block that makes 850hp and a brand new Teague platinum XR drive with a IMCO lower. They have approx 30 hrs on them. All new Livorsi gauges, interior is in great shape. All around nice boat. Only freshwater use. I was thinking 55k but is that to high or in the wheel house? I have 45k into engine and drive alone. Thanks in advance for any advice. Just looking to downsize. It is just me and my wife that boats and its a lot of boat for just the two of us.

Trailer included? How's the transom? Survey?

Lot's of variables to consider. The engine will probably be problematic selling point and you are currently pricing it to get the money back on that investment, correct? 55K sounds high to me for a 99 vintage. If you can get a survey and it comes out clean, maybe 40's would be my guess.

Downsizing from a 29 Fever?

Yeah trailer is included and the transom is solid. I live in Northern California so its only freshwater lake boating for me. A 29 foot boat is pretty big for lakes around here. Would like to go to something 23-25 ft range. I could probably get a survey done somewhere in the bay area. I see quite a few in the 45-55k range with stock engines and drives with high hours so that's why I thought the high end of that scale with new motor and drive was reasonable. Hmmm. so maybe 45-48k is more realistic???

So I am down to 40k for this boat. I am not interested in going lower because I feel like I could probably part it out for that. Does this seem to pricey still?

I have a 29, also, but it is a Velocity. Like you it is usually just my wife and myself and we are in our 70s. A 29 is not all that big. Figure out how to make things easier. Electric winch, boat jack etc. you may be disappointed if you down size. You are looking at selling a nice boat for $45,000 and you couldn't buy a replacement for $200,000.

40 sounds like a good deal.

Agree replacement cost must be out of reach for most great price with trailer! Also 29' very user-friendly good luck love my 29 Fountain:ernaehrung004:

Have you had any offers? Just curious if the motor is keeping buyers away.

Lots of trade offers, for sandrails or RVs. Some offers for wake boats too. I live in California and this is kind of an east coast boat. People don't understand what it is. I have the usual crazy lowball offers of like 25k.

Are you still trying to sell this boat. Can I get more info. How can I get a hold of you if it’s still for sale

I did end up finally selling it. It went to Lake of the Ozarks. I do know the guy who bought it intended to only keep it for the summer and then sell it this winter. He is probably willing to sell. He bought it for one trip this summer while his current 29 was getting completely refurbished. If you want his contact info I can give it to you. Just let me know.

Yes I am definitely interested. Was hoping it was still in California since I’m in Phoenix Arizona. I’m stuck on finding a single engine 29 fever. Thank you.
