Cracks near back seat in engine compartment.

Hello Fountain folks. I am selling my 29 Fever and have someone potential interested. He does not live near me and has been burned buying a rotted boat, so has been wanting quite a few pictures which is totally understandable. He will more than likely have a survey done as well. I shot a video for him and in the video he notices some cracks, that quite frankly I never really noticed or payed attention too. I am wondering how bad these really are? I use the boat still, but not as much as I like, hence the selling it. I am not wanting to take a bath on it either. I am asking 42k, and he has already got me down to 40k and I keep the spare outdrive. I am just wondering how big of deal these really are. Thanks for any input.

Wow, those are not the best pictures. They looked better on my phone. Hopefully you get the idea though.

Where is the crack located exactly?

it's the bulkhead forward of the engine on the sides. Exactly like this post.

If you agreed on 40K before the video and he is still interested I would go down to 38K and sell it. Not a big repair but why fix it and then try to find another buyer? Good luck.

yeah, just wondering if it's a big deal structurally. He thinks it's basically unuseable with these cracks, which for all I know have been there since day 1. I never paid attention to them. If it's a 500 dollar fix by a fiberglass guy I am not going to drop the price even more. I will just keep the boat and enjoy boating the few times I get. It's definitely not a need to sell situation.

Looks like the stringers are pulling away from the bulkhead,
it's possible the stringers were replaced at one time or another just in the engine compartment and now they're pulling away, I guarantee you it's not gonna be a cheap repair,

What model year is the 29? Let's face it....Fountain sportboats are getting old. So, this type of damage isn't normal but likely a product of age. You may want to be an agressive seller at this point and make a deal with a willing participant to move on from it. Father time is undefeated no matter how good a condition your think your boat is.
