I see you also did away with the 2 speedo hoses. GPS speedo?

I am removing mine and have the holes filled right now also. I think the stock Mercury way of doing it is just fine, plus it cleans up the transom with 2 less hoses. After all, Fountain still used the Bravo pickup hole on up thru the removable twistloc tab. Seemed kinda usless to just eliminate the path thru transom assembly.

Raypanic 02-08-2004 06:29 AM

Yes I am switching to GPS, I bought the Digital one from Gaffrig not the analog one. I like the digital read out more precise and it has other features; Compass, Volts, RPM (useless on a triple). And with the way the dash is layed out I think it gives a nice focal point too

Ray,

That project should be on the Discovery Channel!

Nice job, Ray. Was just looking at your pics (wish I had DSL) and noticed the name(s) "tsunami" on the side. Very cool. You're selling it? Just what we need is another 47 on the market. What are you asking?

Splashed - Finally

I finally splashed the fountain last sunday, I have a minor engine problem but it should be fixed soon. I have not really run it much yet I only had it to 40 mph (2 engines). It felt pretty nice the little biT I did run it. Tomorrow I have a 12 mile 2 engine run to my mechanic. I was told not to put it up on plane like I did on sunday so it will be a slow ride. Here are some pictures:

ray that is a beutiful boat my dad tried to buy a pantera a few years ago but as you can see by reading in the pantera forum they aren't the greatest boat, or boat builder. but he says that if pantera ever gives him back his money that he won in court he is definatly buying a new lightning. with fountain it seems that you get what you pay for.
