prop for a 27 Fountain
 

Looking for the right prop for my 27 Fountain Fever. Just put a new 502 (435hp) and Gil Exhaust, looking at about 460 hp total. I have a Hydromotive 21 4 blade that has been worked to a 23. I have read that I need a 24 pitch. Any ideas? Also, what is the better prop - Hydromotive or Mercury Bravo?

You say 460 hp, well i am running a 500efi 470 hp I turn a 25 Hydro at 5250rpm 74mph.

My old boat 27 Fever w/ 502 415 hp had a 24 Hydro run right at 70mph

As for Bravo vs Hydro, I say Hydro, but just my opinion

Welcome to the group JCE. I run a 27 Hydro which is a good top speed prop, aprox 620hp in my 27 Fever. I plan to run a 28 Bravo this year and will post results if weather ever breaks.
I get 82 mph with the Hydro.

I have a Labbed 24 LH Hydromtive Q-iV off a 27' Fountain. I usde it for one poker run it has one test day on it Like new no ding's

I Sold the boat does any one know some one looking for deal on a prop. It's like new still in the box I jest don't have a use for it
I have jest over $1,000. in to it I'LL let it go for $650.
