it has 465horse 502s w/victor jr. intakes, built holleys, roller rockers cam? does anyone know what the speeds should be, what would the max r.p.m should i turn.

I'm guessing here. But I would say 80 mph would be a estimate?:rolleyes:

was told low 80s its to cold to run it now, if its slow then i will runn it this summer and next winter build bigger power.

I am pretty sure the 1992 35 do not have any steps, thats why it will take a little more power to get the MPH up.;)

Wills right, I think it was '95 when first steps came out. Still a nice boat though. Do you own it or looking to buy? There are some great deals out there on used 35's & 38's. Thinking I should have waited and bought bigger, oh well. With gas prices moving higher I'm happy with a single for now.

just bought it, moving from a 94 290baja to this. if you have never looked under a fountain w/no step theres a what looks like a step towards the back of the hull ? besides its a FOUNTAIN and at the lake we hang out at thats the cats meow. its faster than my baja also helps.

The 92 does not have any steps. The "step" in the rear your are referring to is the called a nothched transom. With that power you should see 80-82. I have the same boat with 502 mags, bone stock runs 74 with 3/4 tank of fuel and just me on board. In response to earlier threads on stitching coming loose, Don't know what they are talking about. Mine still looks brand new. Must be the cleaners they are using. What kind of props do you run?

it would be a hard stretch to see 80 with that year and power, realistic speed 75-78 low fuel cool weather.

Agree with Later...you'll be hard pressed to see 80 with optimal conditions with no step. My 2000 Classic with HP500 carb motors is max'd out at 84.7. The big difference between this boat and your 29 Baja is that it'll take a lot more water. On a windy day on the lake, she'll ride on top of 2-3 footers with a smooth ride. You'll be able to boat when most others can't.

Most the Fountains that I have seen that are a couple yrs old usually have the material tearing at the head rest on the rear hatch and also the vinyl tears at the stitching at the tuck on the rear bench seat. Fountain finally eliminated the rear seat tuck in '99 as they knew it was a problem. I talked with them personnaly. Wonder why it took so long to change it? It seems it's from stepping on these areas. The interior is tight with not much room to stretch. I always use vinyl cleaner and followed with 303, so...............
