how did you prep the bilge for paint

Lee,

The bilge paint was applied by brush. The only prep work was a real thorough cleaning with Castrol degreaser and hot water, and a wipe down with acetone after a few days drying. The bilgekote is oil based and flows out to a smooth finish without brush marks.
