93 35 lightning prop help
have to ask your thoughts...
93 35 with 502 crate 450 hp motors.. spinin hydro 25s 5100.. now we are adding.. after 100 great running hours.. teague's merlin mild port heads w bigger valves etc, dart intakes, crane cames a few steps up 587 /610, roller lifters, stud girdls,,, been told should add 100 hp per motor?? your thoughts? curious what i should start with on the prop size u think i can should spin 27 ? 28 ?bravo ? hydro ? looking for experince here i would rather not hve to do the research myself as the cost is gonna put me in the poor house.. what is the rule of thumb spin in or out?? i have allways ran out,, thanks folks appreciate your wisdom and this board!!! jonas, I have a 1997 35 with 525s and ext boxes, it is spinning a 28 bravo at 5000. It left the factory with a pair of 27 mach. I tryed a pair of 30 bravos saturday the boat had good mid range and great hole shot but the top rpm was 4700. I think you will find a pair of 28 bravos or 28 hydro will work fine. turning them in.

You need to spin the props out with the conventional hull. Try to find a prop shop that will demo the props to you. Dan |
finally in the water ran awsome!!
went from 25 hydro's spinin aaround 100-5200 to bravo 30's labbed to down alittle spinnin 5100,,, spinin out, gps battery wend dead.. doh! oh well |
