Now that your empty it would be a great time to adjust your fuel gauge. they are easily adjustable and are right on top of the tank went you lift the round floor cover door. Adjust it so that it is now a little below E and then fill the tank half way...if you have a 200 gallon tank put 100 gallons in it and see where the gauge is and mark/make not of it. After you are done setting your gauge put a drop of black gasket sealr on top of the screw to keep it in place.

Supposedly my 27 has a 63 gallon tank.
One weekend last year, I put 62.7 gallons in it. Cut it a little close there! |
My 35 will go past E and still has about 10-13 gallons
remaining. Everyone needs to validate fuel guage integrity on any boat they operate. |
I have a 2000 32 and was also wondering the tank size. I ran out gas the first weekend out and never go below half tank now (read when sitting still). I can put in 100 gallons when the gauge reads half tank. I thought I heard somewhere it was a 140 gal tank but I would like to find out actual size.

120 gal

Called fountain today and they said 115 gal in 2000. Which means my guage is REALLY off!!!! I will try to adjust the sending unit and see I can get it more acurate.

Must be a different tank than my '99 then. Seems odd they would change it. You can remove the access cover in the rear seat floor and read the label on the tank.

Thanks for the tip...I will look this weekend. Do you have the adjustable sender they are talking about?

I just added the adjustable fuel sender on my 91 32' fever. This last week I boated till I ran out of gas out on the lake.I had to have my brother go and get me 5 gals on his boat.I dumped in the five and made it back to the gas dock to add another 113 gallons. So I will assume 120 gal tank. When I adjusted the fuel sender as per the spec it showed 1/4 tank when I ran out.So before I filled up I re-calibrated,now E is empty.Even after the motors shut down I still had movment on the gauge showing that there must be 2 or so gallons the pick ups dont get to.
Thanks Nordic95 |
