These are two 42 footers; primitive comparison at best.
Granted, there may be an integrated swim platform. . . . But - considering 'wetted' surface . . . ? ? ? |

Put this up in general discussion and watch the activity !

They sure look to be the same size to me!
I do get tired of that old beak/swim platform B.S. The fact is virtually every boat built today includes an integrated swim platform and most have a nose on the bow...if they aren't built like a tug boat that is. |

ok lets put this too rest if the 35 is a 32 and the 38 is a 35 and the 42 is a 38 and the 47 is a 42 power for power there still right up there with performance both in speed and handling. now if you compare fountain to lets say oh cigarette thats a popular comparison. the 42 runs with the 38 with simular power can probably be had for 50- 60 thousand less and when you go to sell the market reflects it. ive heard it said that you can stand anywere on a cigarette and not hurt it, but can you sit down and drive it NO! bottom line different boats for different folks wheather your in a baja, cigarette, fountain, power quest or sutphen thank your lucky stars your on the water cause many arent. we are the lucky ones all of us.
see ya on the water later |
