Has anybody changed their smoked windscreen to white lexan? or put white vinyl over the smoked screen?
Any pics?

I looked into doing it a couple of years ago. If you do it please post pics and how it goes. Also another member is trying to build their own AL race fairing. I am looking forward to see how that comes out.

What did you find out? Anything yet?

I talked to Total amp today, he told me that they would build me aluminum fairing just like the original fountain fairing for $2,000. I might just go that route instead of the lexan/plexi.

jryan26 01-07-2004 06:04 PM

Thats the only reason Im thinking about going this route. Its a ***** getting back and forth from the deck with the plexiglass. Totalamp said that it is identical to the fountain fairing. He also said that I could walk all over it with out damaging it.

They will make it to fit any size.

I think its www.totalmap.com

We are building the fairings. I called Fountain to get a price, and like the rest of you was shocked. I removed the windshield off my 38, and determined we could build one. We need your windhsield for a template to ensure proper fit. We don't make much on them, as this isn't our main business, but if we can help you guys out, let us know.
