Bravo 1 or Hydromotive

I know a lot of Fountains in the past came with hydromotive props and the new boats come with bravo 1's. I have a 2004 35' Executioner running 32p Bravo 1's and was wondering if anybody else is running Hydro's and what the differences are. I was told the Hydro's might be faster. I am looking to get a second set of props and before i do would like hear from somebody using the hydromotives. What would be the rule for pitch from bravo 1 to the hydromotives? Any help would be apprieciated........

Depending on who you talk to the Hydromotive Q4 is about 1.5-2 inches larger. If you are running a 32 B1 you need to start around a 30 Hydro. What power are you running spinning 32 Bravo 1's. Thats a pretty tall prop on a stock motor 35 What we found was that the Bravo's get on plane easier and cruise at a lower rpm than the Hydromotives. But the Hydromotives were 3-4 mph faster on the top end and seem to accelerate faster in the mid range. I have also heard that if you lab finish the Bravo 1's they will run as fast as the Hydromotive's. We ran Hydromotive's on our 35 twin step Fountain. Its a lot of trial and error, but the folks at Hydromotive can help alot if you call them. Good Luck.

496 ho's and the drives are bravo x 1.65 ratio

The drive ratio would explain the higher pitch. Dont know how the Hydromotives would work with that ratio.

I asked the same question in General Discussion.
I'm currently using Hydro's and were lookng for a second set also. Want to try the Bravo 1's but not sure where wo go.
Talked with Throttle Up. They were a great help. Might want to try them for advice and maybe a test set of props before purchasing.

I will be dialing in our boat this summer ands was talking to Matt at Throttle up about prop work...he suggested I go from the B1's I now have to the Hydro Q4 since alls I was worried about was top end.

The bravo one carried the bow better, ran faster on top, came out of the hole better and more mid range efficience. The hydo did accelerate better and seem to work well on the smaller twins.

I have run both on a 27 Fever and the Hydro is only better for top end, about 2mph

But that is what I usually what counts, I swap between a 25 and 26 Hydro dependign on day/weekend. Oh and my boat is a 2001 and came with the Hydro, so they switched soon there after.
