Great online company, great service.

I bought a new full cover for my 2004 29' Fever for $300 plus change.
This was the heaviest duty cover as well, they have 3 styles/fabrics to choose & I believe 3 colors as well.

I thought their pricing was great, my cover was new last fall & still looks new today.

gferdon 04-20-2004 07:06 AM

I bought the same cover, same price, same results as Purepower. Service was great and cover fits perfectly.

Had this one done for my 35 Lightning for $700 Canadian. Nice lightweight material, covers the entire boat.

That looks light. You think it would hold up in the Florida sun? I really want to cover my 42 lightning down to the waterline, but I'm afraid it would be a "ball buster" on the 42.

What's the material made of? Is it waterproof?

Any more feedback on yours would be appreciated.

Thanks - JON

Re: New Boat Cover

it's completely water proof (I don't even put my cockpit cover on under) I had one made on my last boat & it held up awesome. I forget the name of the material Jet - something - its available in any color - I'll ask the guy that made it next time I see him.

Re: New Boat Cover

Thanks... I'll start the research today. I think I read somewhere that you have a new Lightning yourself! Sweet! Did you go to the waterline? How about the weight? I have to throw mine on and tie it down while doing a balancing act on the lift. Price if you don't mind?

Mike,
This is the post I spoke of. I got mine from Angola canvas company
1-800-970-6607

You may want to research what material the other covers were made from. The prices sound great. Mine was made with Auqalon(sp). After researching OSO it seemed to be the preference. My shipped price was $650.00 with two poles and two pole vents. All the cleat areas were reinforced. let me know if you need additional info.

I need a lightweight one for when in the rack building...just something to keep the dust off with a draw string.
Is that 6oz a nylon type lightweight cover Dave?

can't beat the polycotton one at boatcoversdirect. $400 for my 353...thats cheap enough. 5 year warranty, loops, drawstring, stain and water repellent.

Re: New Boat Cover

I bought a Carrie Cover for my 38. They had 3 or 4 materials they use so I picked the lightest one. It showed up (in white) and seemed like it was like a tyvex material but was some type of nylon. The thing weighed like 9 pounds. Fast fwd 3 months later-it shredded itself (outside on a boat lift) due to ultraviolet eating at material I thought-they disagreed but they sent me a new one anyway. Same thing happened. I paid like $1200 for it. The next one shredded like the first one and I called them and they sent me yet another made out of material # 2. It weighs about 11 lbs and is perfect. I have had it for about 5 months and no issues. They were nice and responsive (unknown in our world generally) so I would recommend them. Expensive but real light and it is the bomb. I think it is parachute material.
