If not, I'm sure a local glass company may be able to cut a new one with the same material to match. I had a custom tinted plexi-glass flybridge deflector cut one time.
Wonder if Fountain parts still has any around? I know everyone has gone white, but I still like the looks of the dark tint and would not go white on this boat. I could live with it on a newer one though. |

Give me the hull number of your boat, and also name and daytime phone number, Or call me at work (631)-728-0286 and tell them you need Fountain Parts and they will get me. I will call Fountain and see if they have or can make and how much. Which door do you need?

Don't use plexi-glass, make sure you use polycarbonate, it will hold up
much longer and is much more durable. |
Re: Need Smoked doors 90' 35 lightning
tap plastics is a company i thought was nation wide might not be,,,
i had the 92 35 and they said they could even duplicate the windshield... i know they have em all over the bay area in calif,,, |
Re: Need Smoked doors 90' 35 lightning
The polycarbonate (commonly refered to as Lexan) is stronger than acrylic (commonly refered to as Plexiglass) but is not as easy to work with. The poly does not polish on the edges as nicely and is not as scratch resistant as plexi. You can bend plexi by using heat but the poly will require a brake of some type. It is also easier to polish scratches out of plexi and you can "flame polish" the edges. The plexi is typically less expensive.
