Anyone know what kind of oil is in the supercharger of a 525SC?

My 575's call for Merc HiPerf gear oil the same thats in the drives. Change every 100 hrs of use. Hope this helps.

I have been using MOBIL 1 syn. , and have not had any problems 5 years now.

i just received my service manual. it calls for 90 wt.

I was looking through the service manual this week and trying to find the area that shows where to check it and fill it....is it the screw at the top front of the SC, also how full should it be?

on a 525 SC it is the dipstick in front and there is an allen bolt in the back. Fill the front until the dipstick registers full. Fill the back until oil spills out.

75/90 has worked great for me for the last 6 years.

How do you drain the supercharger?Does it require SC removal on the 575?
