Twin engine warning buzzers

If both motors are running, then 1 motor dies, shouldn't the alarm go off do to no oil pressure?
All I get is the little warning light in the Gaffrig oil pressure gauge lite up, no buzzer. Doesn't seem right.

The buzzer does sound twice when I 1st turn the keys, I'm assuming the self test sounding.

Yes, once 1 of the motors died while idling thru the marina and I didn't know it until I went to get on plane.

yes it should buzz. Anyway to kill the other motor to see if buzzer works on that one?

Also, when you turn the key without engaging starter, I have a steady buzzer alarm that will sound after 5 seconds. Mine does not buzz twice and stops. It will buzz till I turn key off.

Mine does the same. Turn on the key and it will Buzz until the battery dies, but I only get the a buzz on one key, not the other?? Is that correct??

When I flush my motors with Salt-away I hang my kill switch over the glass so I can reach from the ground for shutting down the motors (so not to waste the cleaner) Both motors will cause the buzzers to go off after 10 or so seconds as long as the key is on. Try pullung the wires off your drive rez (should be quick connect) while motor is running and see if alarm goes off, if doesn't I'd get fixed asap.

Both of mine work within seconds of an engine dying and even when I start the engines and they do not stay running....it goes off.

Re: Twin engine warning buzzers

Well, not sure what is going on with mine, but this weekend I did some troubleshooting.

With both motors running, I can ground out any of the senders for the each of the drive bottles or the oil press senders separately and the alarm will sound. BUT, once again while I was idleing thru a no wake zone, one of the motors died and I did not notice it for a bit. No alarm. What gives? Only way my alarms will sound is when the motors are running.
