Fountain 35 & Imco Shorties

I have a 2000 35 Classic (single step) with whipple charged 500EFI's. I am currently have Std Length Imco Lowers but am considering putting 2 shorties on. The boat currently runs 88 - 90MPH on GPS. Has any one had any experience putting the short lowers on this boat ?

I installed 2" shortened Imco drives on my 98 35 Fountain, the boat did pickup a couple of miles per hour on the top end. The main difference is the ride, much looser with the shortened drives and the boat would try to hook if you did not pay attention to your driving.

Fountaindriver, what kind of props were you running? Did you ever try a 5 blade to get more bite?

I was running 4 blade hydromotives, I can't remember the size or pitch as it was a couple of years ago I was running that boat.
