Mufflers on a 2004 29 fountain
 

A friend of mine has a 2004 29 fountain with a 525. I was amazed how quite it is with the OEM mufflers. Does anyone know who's mufflers fountain is using? Thanks in advance.

Muffler we dont need no stinking mufflers! I have a 29 fever 04 with no mufflers, I have more complents on how it sounds. A little noise is good.

I agree that I like the noise too but the reason I am asking is that I have another friend that we boat with that has a 1992 27 fever with a 500hp. He has been given three noise tickets in the last year by the Minnesota DNR! The fines are starting to add up and he has finally decided to do something about it.

I have not gotten a ticket yet. (knock on wood) They are not real bad about noise on the river. I have gotten some weird looks at the docks on the lake by the local water cops. If it becomes a issue I will start it then turn on the captians call even though its not legal they say.

In Minnesota if you are caught with captian call they will escort you off the river and they will harass you every time you come back. It is not worth it up here. That is why I am happy that I am moving to Fort Myers, FL. Anything goes down there, as long as you don't run over a manatee! :D
