'98 35...Whats it worth??
 

Thought some of you guys might be able to shed a little light on this for me.I found a guy who has a 98 35 lightning,hp500's,230 hrs,"super clean".Pretty much a stock boat from what I gather.He said he just wants out.So my question is what is a fair price to offer and what could it really be worth?Any thoughts appreciated.

Seems like all the ones I look at thay are asking 110-120k for them
I think they are nuts. You can by a brand new EX for less than 150K!!
I wonder what they are really bringing? I'm in the market for one also.

trailer? i seen a 99 with500hp go at 85k w-o trailer 100hrs.

I bought a 98 35 hp500's 300 hours with trailer, very very clean
for $88,000.
I got the boat from Fred @ Trick Marine.
That was back in August. I did alot of shopping and lucked out in finding
this clean Fountain. It was listed for $ 95000.00 at one time.

If its clean $85000 to $90000 would be a good deal.

This one just hit the OSO classified but have seen it on boats.com
and boat tradeer. Looks clean,but 102k for a 97 with no trailer!!!
Geez, do these people really think their gonna get that much in todays
market ? I like this boat,but its just to much for a 8 year old boat.

The boat does have a trailer.He said 75,000 and take it home.Not what I am really looking for but if the price is "right" I would consider it

That sounds like a great price. A buddy of mine bought a 98 35 Fountain with HP500's (250 hrs) on a Myco for 68k but it's seen some use and the interior has a lot of wear.

75K seems like a real world price for this time of year.

75K sounds like a pretty good deal (not great) if it's real clean. If it's not the boat you want it's a waste of money though.

Kurt, what are you doing in here?? Looking to trade the Cig in for something faster? :eek: Those Konrads of yours will bolt up just fine to a nice older TRS/Fountain.

Last year I know several were sold between 140K and 160K brand new with 496's.

Ditto, I know of several that sold in that range. I also
know where there is one now. Looks in the classifieds,
everyone is asking all outdoors for their 7-8 year old boats! !

I paid 130k for a 35' 2003 execuctioner with trailer and 60 hours last summer. I guess i got ripped off.

I wouldn't say you got ripped off at all. I know some people who have gotten some GREAT deals in the last year though.

What would you offer on this boat ? Supposed to be
very clean,160 hrs,Hp 500's,fairing....no trailer.
1997 boat. He's asling 102k on OSO. Saw it on
boat trader for 112k. Boats .com for 99k

I just bought a 1997 Fountain 35 from dallasboats, boat did not have a trailer[hydrohoist at lake Texoma} so I also had in the deal a 2005 brand new triple axle alum. trailer with disc brakes, the boat has been repowered with 500 EFI's , has ext. boxes on it,race fairing, real clean for 98K. from what I saw while shopping the boats are selling for GOOD money, if you find a deal you better buy it,

75 sounds like a good price for 98'. Get her surveyed and make yourself happy with the deal.

Brian, I'm getting close! The plumbing and wiring is almost done. I'll be mounting the Konrad gimbals tomorrow. :D
