Each boat comes through "The Chute" alone. Last year it seemed like 10 or 20 second intervals. Each boat has it's own stopwatch for accurate timing.

Looks like OPA will have a great turnout of race boats as well. So far about 25 teams have committed to attend this event, including the Supercat class boats plus the two boats from Qutar. I also wouldn't be suprized to see all three turbine boats racing side by side at this one. We expect 40 or so race teams for Sunday's race.

Brad and Larry, along with the City of Sunny Isles Beach should really be commended for spending the time and energy to make this event bigger each year. Without thier efforts, the Sunny Isles Beach Challenge Weekend wouldn't happen. Please support thier efforts, either as a spectator or participant. It's one hell of a good time.:drink:

Open Ocean Racing to Bimini and Back. Leave Haulover inlet in Miami go to binini and back total 103 miles its a blast Open to a variety of classes. Run what you BRUNG!
Any boat can go to bimini and back they will have or make a class for you the freeze frame boat will be there i have a helicopter for the event we will fly every day this year to do video and stills jeff
