Re: ftmyersoffshore.org - club organization & website
Hey guys, thanks for help filling in the blanks.
27 so far w a few still to check in...
more thinking out loud-
the website should be a source of local boating information, and pix of our activities-- and to bring new members into our group. We have plenty of room right here to do what we've been doing, so, no forums unless someone else wants to webmaster the thing. And we'll stay focused on the performance angle (thanks, Bob!), but hopefully it will be helpful and interesting enough that anyone who likes boats will be inclined to bookmark it.
the website could also be a source of revenue to the group w tshirt/hat/coozie/etc sales. We need more discussion about how much organization we want/need. As far as liability-- maybe anything large and organized beyond caterer/helo rental could be done on an separate basis outside the club with fmo as an 'affiliate sponsor' or something?
