Well guys ... It takes a lot for me to blow off a great run and here is proof... My day was a bad one because of a 21 year old twit that was more into the cell phone call than not running over a bike...me

Thanks Guys...
I do the bike thing like everything I do .. I try hard to get my skills to a level to avoid stuff like this but .. When they bolt accross a travel lane and give no warning you can do nothing but break and hang on .. I went into the side and up and over the car. I hear it was a perfect 360 flip .. and my dismount scored a 7.5 with the judges :D THank god I always wear my safty gear .. glad to still be beathing and chatting with you all.. |
Sorry to hear of your accident Wayne. We did miss you and the Scarab on the run. Hope you make a full recovery and that we see you again before long. Take care and keep us posted on your recovery.

I unfortunately don't think it matters how high your skill levels are as long as there is a public (car traffic) that doesn't pay any attention to what they are doing. I had a similar event happen to me (thankfully without the crash) that pretty much ended my riding. I had a ZX-11 and a 1200 Bandit. Once I realized that it did not matter how safe I rode and the impact such an accident might have on my family I got rid of both bikes and went to boating instead. There are plenty of idiots out on the water as well but maybe a little more room to avoid them. Good luck with your recovery and hope to see you again at another fun run
John PS 2 thumbs up for the use of the proper safety equipment:drink: Yea there is lots to think about moving forward .. I soooo look forward to the chance to boat again .. probably 4-6 mo out .. Cant wait:D Again ..glad to still get a chance to be here :-) |
