Looks like we have to sit this run out. New schedule made me choose between this one and New Years run. See everyone on the first!!!!!

I beleive we will be going on this run. But the bad news is that the Motion will not be going. I was working on the Motion yesterday and found some major problems with the port engine. It is fixable but not before next weekend, it will be ready before the new years day run! So we will be taking the 382 Formula. We will be running in the slow group!

Since I am now an expert LOL ( joking of coarse ) using Google Earth I thought I would picture the route that Tom described in his post #1. It is an overview only and is NOT to be used for navigation. There are shoals and hazards and if you are not familiar with the local waters please follow someone who does. The mileage according to Google Earth is 54 miles.:D

Speaking of shoals and hazards, on the October run to Punta Gorda there were boats that cut across the shoal at the south east tip of Sanibel and also some were cutting the corner too soon and getting into shallow water at Boca Grande Pass. There were no problems that I know of but some came close to having a short day. ( or a long tow ! LOL ) :D

Jay is going to post up his regular Google Earth map of the route.

I am aware of two additional boats that have not responded here. Shaping up to be a good run. Any one else coming ?

Looks good, Bob! I am using the work computer and not sure I could do any better than that (except for a logo...). will be a while before I'm online at home.
