Boating Boca Grande Pass, FL

On Sat I lowered small boat, the 2004 23 ft Stingray 230LX, 350magMPI/Bravo1, off the lift, and went down Charlotte Harbor to one of many stretches of beach at the Northern tip of Cayo Costa island, along Boca Grande Pass. The air temp was 91, the heat index was 100, and the Gulf Water temp was 90. Round trip was about 50 miles.

Here are links to the 44 pictures I took

They are best seen in the slide show, just remember to click on full screen, in the lower right corner.

Enjoy!

Cool. What was that colored stuff in the water?

Under the water there are two oddities. First a series of perfectly square stones, with square corners, and flat surfaces, many lined up almost forming a road.

Second, a series of rock ledges, again, almost forming a road. Sometimes I refer to these as the lost road to Atlantis.

The red color, looks like rust, but is some kind of sea life (coral maybe), or something that growns on it, or on rocks. It is attached to some of the rock ledges.
