Can anyone reccomend a good Dock/Lift person in Cape Coral?

I need to have my dock and lift modified to accomodate a 29 Advantage X Flight that I recently purchased. Do you guys know any people that you can reccomend? We could also use a good painter and a tile guy to install some flooring.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Let me give my buddy a call and see if he knows anyone good? When are you looking to have it done?

We are looking at getting started in early November so it will be ready for when we bring the boat down in Jan. I'm hoping that they can get the dimensions of the boat and have them set it up both the bunks and the docks without the boat actually being there. Does one have to get permits to modify a dock and put a canvas cover over it. If so does it take very long to obtain the permit? This is all new to me.

Thanks

I've got a good dock / lift man. He did mult-well docks for two friends and they are great.

In Fort Myers I don't need a permit for a canvas top. Not sure abaout Cape COral but I can ask.

We have our formula sitting on a Myco frame. Kiesling construction set in on the beams and bolted it down for us. Kiesling did the original dock and lift installation. They manufacture a concrete post that is really nice, a little pricey thou.

Give Denny Tolles a call at 239-470-3224. His family actually did the majority of the original canal work in the Cape. He has been at it for years and just recently sold his 31 Sutphen.

Here are the canopy permit guidelines for the Cape http://www.capecoral.net/LinkClick.a...d=713&mid=1382

I would recommend getting a permit if you want a canopy. Mine was installed by the previous owners and they did not get a permit. I went through hell after the city found out...

Tolles is good. If you want structural work done to your dock try American Marine (Mike McCartney) 239-945-7759 http://www.bestdock.com/

My Parents had there Dock, Lift and Cover installed by Dolphin Boat Lifts. They seem to do great work and were very honest.

Whoever you hire, make sure you obtain a written release from all contractor suppliers before you make final payment on the job.I just had 130' of new seawall installed, payed the contractor in full, and now Im getting construction lein notices from 2 of the contractors' suppliers. The contractor has not paid a sub-contractor who supplied concrete, and another who supplied rebar.PM me if you want to know the company. They are not quite 8 weeks past invoice date on the concrete and rebar so I dont want to bash anyone at this point (considering the economy here),but it really sucks getting these letters.
