Thank you Bob and the entire FMO team, for another great event. The
destination was excellent, and I understand the ride back, was one of the best
rides in memory.
It was my wife's 2nd time in this Skater, and she has never been outside of the
ICW. After 25 miles of some of the roughest harbor conditions I have been in,
with her hiding under a blanket in her seat, we traversed Boca Grande Pass. A
few 4-5 rollers, and she was still covered, but silent. A moment later we had a
mechanical problem, and I slowed way down, and turned around. She came out
and simply said "so now you can turn around?". A slower trip back 25 miles to
my lift, where the tide was now so low, it took us about 20 minutes of standing on
the bow, and pulling the boat, to get on, an out of the water.
I met a gentlemen who had flow to Sarasota in his Guflstream 450 (G4) with his
crew, I also met his stewardess. We spent about 2 hours talking about aircraft
and boats. His room was on the 8th floor overlooking the marina, so I got some
shots at a unique angle.
I have about 130 pictures, here are a few to start , many more to follow:
Ft Myers Offshore, Feb Sarasota weekend run, all photos, click here
nice and calm Sun Morning
awesome place for a pool party, we HAVE to go back
reflections of NorTech
our modest accommodations
is two is better than one
through my very dirty room window

More Saturday pics.
Pic 1 is Andy Kidd, from Naples & ON in his Formula and Barry Peters from JAX in his Fountain running up the ICW together.
On arrival at the Hyatt Joe Cardaci in his Top Gun and Roy Hunter in his beautifully restored Apache were already settled into their slips. Kenny in Disturbing Behaviour and Pierre in his MTI were all set as well over at Marina Jacks.

Wow, Frank. I just enjoyed watching your slide show. Very very nice. It was great you caught most of the boats departing the marina Sunday. Interesting pics of the the Hyatt, Ritz and surrounding properties.
Thank you for that,
Bob
