See you in KW, Pat

This is only the 2nd run I've missed-
a quick check of my archives shows 32 FMO events since 2006.

Jay, again you have an outstanding bit of work on behalf of FMO. Thank You.

A couple of things to note regarding the posters. Note the change of date to Sat March 3rd for our March run. The last couple of years Poker Runs America have had an event in Cape Coral on the 2nd weekend in March so we have changed our date, leaving the 10th open for them. I will be sending out a notification of this change to all FMO members by e mail soon.

I could use some help in distributing the posters to marine business' in the area. We are hoping that they can be displayed in a prominent location to inform fellow performance boaters about our events. Please contact me if you are able to place a few posters on behalf of the Club. If it's for your bedroom wall, then contact Jay and he will sell you one ! LOL

Thanks,

Bob

I initially contacted PRA about this possible conflict in the schedule over 10 days ago and only got a callback yesterday. I explained that we needed to hear from them soon for just the reason you state Bill, in that several of our FMO members plan some of their time in FL around our schedule. I was promised that within a weeks time, that would be the 31st I will hear back from them. Let's just wait this week and see what comes back from them ... if anything and we will go from there.

Default Weather:

At this time there is considerable uncertainty with what to expect weather wise this weekend. I will wait until tomorrow evening to post the official weather, hoping the picture will be more clear. We need to watch hurricane Rina which is currently in the western Caribbean. Some forecasts call for it to eventually turn east and weaken but could bring some rain to south Florida. A day or so we should have a better idea and see how we are effected if at all.

Default Weather forecast:

THE WEATHER CHANNEL:

T-Showers High 82°F

Precip 60% Wind: From ENE at 8 mph

Humidity: 78% UV Index: 5 Moderate

Sunrise: 7:35 AM ET Avg. High: 84°F

Record High: 92°F (2009)

NOAA Marine Weather:

Zone Forecast: Coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 NM (GMZ856) Mobile Weather Information

Last Update: 1001 PM EDT WED OCT 26 2011

Friday Night...Northeast winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bay and inland waters a light chop. A chance of showers.

Saturday...Northeast winds around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters choppy. A chance of showers.

Saturday Night...Northeast winds around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters choppy. A slight chance of showers.

Sunday...Northeast winds around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters choppy. A slight chance of showers.

Bob note: Let's hope for an improved forecast by noon Friday or we may have to cancel or postpone the run. My experience has been when the forecast calls for a 60% chance of rain.... well, it's going to rain. Add to that 20 knot winds and it's just not fun. I have talked to Porta Bello restaurant and we are to have a conversation just before noon Friday at which time we will have to confirm or postpone. Stay tuned, please. I will e mail all those who have registered if the evnt is cancelled or postponed as well as post here. Like Rick posted ... We need a sunshine dance for a good day Saturday. i will update this weather posting if any change.
