Mobile Mercury outboard tech needed

Can anyone recommend a mobile marine mechanic that can check out one of my engines. mercury 250EFI outboards. One of them doesn't want to idle. I took the cowling off and found a plug wire that was off. Checked plugs, two of them fouled, so installed 6 new plugs.....still doesn't want to idle, so it's time to hook a computer up to it... :(

Thanks in advance, Craig

Page Hill marine , sport boats , diversified marine , all have mobile techs and are in fort myers. Sounds like a bad coil

Sounds like you've got a few options, after you get her fixed let us know what was wrong with it and how whomever worked on it did, it might help some of the rest of us if we ever need one.

OK, thanks everyone for their help and suggestions! As it turns out, I purchased some bad fuel a few days ago and that caused the problems. Many of the places that were suggested were very busy due to the holiday this week and snowbird invasion. My neighbor gave me the number of a guy that he has used in the past and he was able to come over and check out the boat. His name is Chris and his number is (239) 707-3628. Very cool guy and was a good mechanic. We then called Sludge Suckers, Inc. (239) 839-0983. Russ came out and got all of the water out of my tank and my boat is now running. See you all on the run this weekend!

Did you get the gas on the water, if so where, it might help us not have the same problem, thanks

No, the Shell/Circle K on Cape Coral Pkwy near Coronado. There were a couple of gallons on the bottom of my tank. We verified that it was pumped in there by pouring gas in the fill neck after removing all of the water from the tank. There was suddenly more water in the tank. :(. All good now! have to run the boat and change the separators a few more times.....
