Ft Myers Offshore Inc ( FMO ) announces it's 2014 / 15 event schedule
The Board of Directors of Ft. Myers Offshore Inc. are please to announce their 2014 / 15 event schedule. As we enter our 9th season we will be hosting a record 9 events for club members. This was made possible by some of my fellow board members volunteering to organize some of the events and lighten my work load. Thank you !
Bob This coming season will see us add 3 new destinations to our calendar. With so many enjoying the weekend in Sarasota we have decided to add another weekend event and head down to Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys at the end of January. The Sarasota Hyatt event will be moved along into April when the warmer weather will allow us to enjoy their fabulous pool etc. We will now be able to accommodate all club member wanting to go to Hawks Cay or Sarasota or both ! New destinations also include Laishley’s Crab Shack in Punta Gorda and the new Pinchers Crab Shack in Ft. Myers. All great destinations we will be anxious to visit. While most FMO events are free of charge to paid up club members, we will also continue our tradition of having 2 designated fund raising events in support of the clubs student scholarship fund. In addition we will have our usual 50 / 50 draws and clothing sales in support of our designated charity. In our last season we were able to raise and distribute $ 42,000 in scholarships to 21 worthy students entering college or university in SW Florida. Lets keep that momentum going by supporting your club. We are all looking forward to more good times in the coming season with our fellow FMO members. At our Hard Rock Cafe dinner / party on Friday night in Key West, Bill & Lori were able to negotiate Hard Rock giving us the complete main level from 7 to 9 PM. They realized we quickly outgrew the upstairs area we had last year. The space is much more open and features a great bar area as well. This is a fantastic venue with the race boat boat display right at our doorstep on Duval Street. It will be easy to have dinner & drinks with club members and take in the events going on the street as well that evening.

Not that I want the summer to end, but sure looking forward to the start of the FMO season. What an awesome schedule, great job.
