Dockage at Laishley’s in season is always a challenge but we think if these instructions are followed we will get by. All of the transient slips are taken so please do not go into a slip unless directed by the dockmaster. There is one large public floating dock in front of the boat ramp ( see attached plan ) and we expect with some rafting perhaps 3 deep will accommodate several of our boats. We should leave some room closest to the ramp so we do not interfere with those launching their boats. In addition we have identified 2 smaller areas ( see cross hatched areas on plan ) that again with rafting will accommodate several more boats. Our 4th option is to use the mooring balls just outside the marina and have one of the center consoles on the outside of a raft shuttle us into the marina / restaurant. Our last docking option is to tie up at Harpoon Harry’s and catch a taxi over to Laishley’s. Please be patient on arrival and lets do our best to help each other out with getting settled in.

Bob & Eric

Hope you are feeling better Tom. Yes the dockmaster made us aware of the fishing tourney and we are hoping they are all out fishing on our arrival. We will only know what the situation is on arrival.

Get well !!

Bob

Bob, I don't think charlotte harbour will be much fun in our boat , may peel off and go to barnacle phils or take big boat somewhere but we are out for laishley's. Keith

Latest NOAA Weather update this morning:

ast Update: 809 AM EST SAT MAR 7 2015
View Nearby Observations
Coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 NM
Marine Zone Forecast

...SMALL CRAFT EXERCISE CAUTION THIS MORNING...

Today Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots becoming 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters choppy.

Tonight Northeast winds around 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bay and inland waters choppy.

Bob note: The 2 - 4 ft seas mentioned above are up to 20 miles offshore. Charlotte Harbor will be choppy but unlikely to see heavy seas. With winds out of the NE we will get our best ride up Charlotte Harbor by traveling up the east side. As mentioned in the write up if you take the channel between Useppa and Pine Island it will bring you into the harbour somewhat closer to that side. Small boats may find it a a bit choppy for a while.
Have a safe ride. I'm off to the boat now.

Bob
