Our final event for the season is next weekend. Always a club favorite we will travel to Cayo Costa for a beach raft up. No buffet lines, no waiting for food, no slow service just good times on the beach with like minded people. This run is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow FMO members. With being at the beach we will not have FMO gear or the 50/50 so no pushy sales reps  Feel free to bring whatever you would like for lunch. Several members bring grills for burgers and dogs. Some like to keep it simple while others go all out, it’s your choice. If you plan on attending let me know by e mail or posting on our event thread on offshoreonly

This event is free of charge to all paid up FMO club members

Membership information/renewal:

All vessels participating in FMO events are required to carry insurance and have a club membership. Memberships are on a calendar year basis and if you have not yet renewed your membership or are new and wanting to join the club please visit our website. www.ftmyersoffshore.com

Route:

Our starting point will be the south side of the Sanibel Bridge. Boats should assemble around 10:45 am and we will leave by 11:00 am sharp.

Most boats will head up the main ICW. Depending on weather conditions and the size of our group we may have one group run offshore and another run the ICW. If we need to make changes an additional e mail will go out to attending captains before the event.

Fuel/Distance:

From the Sanibel bridge to Cayo Costa and back to the start is around 60+- miles

Communication:

My cell number is 239-849-6533. Anyone dropping out after the start should let me know so we do not spend time either waiting or looking for you. Please leave a message if I do not answer.

Weather/Sea Conditions:

To be posted on OSO prior to the run and updated as needed.

Tide:

Fort Myers-High Tide 6:34am – Low Tide 11:17am.
Naples-Low Tide 8:02am – High Tide 1:34pm

Safety:

Each boat captain is required to operate his vessel in a safe manner and is responsible for his/her crew and their safety. When running in the ICW please be aware that this can be a high traffic area and we ask that other boats be given a wide berth and that the rules of the road be adhered to.
