IIIas have the larger 26 spline (same as big IV, V, VI) shaft.
IIIs have the smaller 19 spline.
Gimbals were reinforced, bell housing strengthened, larger tilt pin in the IIIas.
I always thought IVs looked more like Vs. Early IVs had small shaft (19spline). All IVs had smaller diameter tilt pin holes.

I've seen the IV looks identical to the 3A too. How do you tell the difference between them as well, assuming the drive doesn't have the "IV" still on it.

XZ and XR are the same except the XR has straight cut gears and the XZ are forged. He mentioned it, just didnt' know the letter! :D :D
