WOW---What a shocker...The home (general area) of the two icons of Unlimited hydroplanes, ORLANDO was not on the special list. :eek: :mad:

I was talking to Phil at Lipship about this over the weekend, he was racing those boats back then, even had a madison trophy on his wall in his house.

Bummer. Closest it gets to me is either Chicago or Detroit.... strange as Grand Rapids is a BIG boating community with one of the largest movie theater complexes in the country... we often get first/early showings of big movies... not this one I guess.

I'm not sure of what hyrdo classes he's raced but his old Y-Class hydroplane is hanging on the wall of the Lip-Ship showroom. He told me his buddies located it and had it fully restored for him!
