GM Guys'..Question?

Headed down to Florida in the next couple of weeks to tow my AMT home. Im looking for a trans temp gauge for my '02 Tahoe Z71. Does GM have these or am I better off looking at an aftermarket gauge. Which one? I would feel better knowing what the trans is doing over a 20hr haul.

Stecz20 wants a ride in the Chevy so bad he is taking the trip with me.

Bring a ball-gag and a roof rack.

90ft of bail wire wouldn't be a bad idea either...

I didnt realize there was a sensor there already. (Thats why I asked) I dont want to change the whole panel, just add the gauge. Were these OEM parts? Aftermarket?
I was thinking I was going to to have to put a sensor in line just before the cooler.

Re: GM Guys'..Question?

TopDJ is correct...alot of guys are going with the escalade clusters....cool white needles and chrome trim rings etc.....and they have the gauge in the dash assembly allready. The sensor is allready part of the truck...all you would need to do is have the new cluster programed with your mileage so there are no discrepancy between the computer and the dash. The new trucks do store the mileage inside the computer as well as the dash cluster from what i'm told.

Re: GM Guys'..Question?

How bout just a single gauge.
Not sure how much longer Im keeping this so Id rather not pull the dash apart.
Is the plug-in in a single plug (one piece) harness or can I grab it seperate of the current dash plug. If I can grab it seperately then I should be able to add a seperate single gauge.
Thanks for the help.
My dealer has no clue.
