WWII era V-12

Purely out of curiosity..... Are there any WWII aircraft V-12 custom boats around? I see they are used to some extent in tractor pulling. Has anyone put a healty Allison or Rolls-Royce (or what have you) in boat built for speed or show? Weight and engine placement seem critical as they may be twice as heavy as a typical Big Block Chevy.

Any kind of info is appreciated....even "who would want to do that?"

They restored the old Hot Boat shovel nose hydroplane a few years ago.

There was a rayson craft flat bottom that was built back in the 60`s with an allison in it. It was sponsored by Hot Rod magazine which was boldly letterd on the side. It has been restored and Hot Boat magazine did an article on it a few years back.
