3/4 or 1 ton truck rental?

Does any company rent 3/4 or 1 ton pickups, either one-way or round-trip? Already called U-Haul and Ryder, no joy there.

I'll bet 26Scarab (Chuck) would haul whatever you need hauled for about the same as renting a truck. 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins

I called every rental place in the book, including car lots since I traded in my 3/4 SD in for a Jeep Wrangler. None would rent a pickup for towing. They all remove the hitch for added security.

Their smaller moving trucks have hitches. I have already been through this. Transporting a boat from Lake Havasu to Chicago. After research, it was cheaper and less of a hastle to have it transported.

Just food for thought.

I think I've got it handled - looks like I'll just have it transported - as pb said, it's less hassle that way.

I service all the Budget trucks in South Florida. You can get a 15 foot box truck and they have hitches. They don't have big pick ups. The 15'ers are fort E350 van fronts with a box on the back. The advantage is you can take lots of spare parts with you.
