The only thing I don't like is you have to accumulate $20 worth of rebates then wait for them to send you a check, other than that it doesn't look like a bad deal.

REWARDS: Earn a cash reward on purchases made with your Card. Each year, earn a full 1% (5% for gas) of your first $1,500 in purchases; your second $1,500 in purchases earn .50% (3% for gas) and purchases in excess of $3,000 earn .25% (1% for gas). Transactions must be sent to us under merchant category codes 5541 and 5542 to qualify as a gas purchase. Purchases made at select warehouse clubs, discount stores and their affiliates earn .25%. These purchases and gas purchases are included in the total amount of purchases made during the year to determine your Cashback BonusŪ on other purchases. You will not earn a Cashback BonusŪ on annual gas purchases in excess of $25,000. Get up to 10% Cashback BonusŪ when you exchange your cash reward for up to double the amount in gift cards or certificates from our Discover Card Partners. Reward is redeemable in $20 increments. Other restrictions apply. You will receive complete Cashback BonusŪ Plus Terms and Conditions with your Card.

WHERE TO BUY YOUR GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW.
READ ON--

Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It
might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We
can return the favor. An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.
Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the
coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import
their oil from the Saudis. I thought it might be interesting to know which oil
companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil
>Shell............................. 205,742,000 barrels
>Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels >Exxon
>Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels
>Marathon/Speedway...117,740,000 barrels
>Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels
>
>If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION!
>Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil
>Citgo.......................0 barrels
>Sunoco...................0 barrels
>Conoco...................0 barrels
>Sinclair....................0 barrels
>BP/Phillips..............0 barrels
>Hess........................0 barrels
>ARC0......................0 barrels
