Sorry to hear she is not coming home :( sounds like you are doing a great job keeping things together. I am sure you and the kids want her home, but it is best she is in the hospital while things are still uncertain. We are praying for your wife to get better and for you as the rock of support.

Sorry to hear the turn of events--if there's good news the surgical procedure now is laproscopic and recovery time is super fast and discomfort isn't enarly what is was 10 years ago when I had my 3rd one. First inciscion was about 12 inches long with 3 week hosp stay--last one about 2 inchs and 3-4 days hosp.

If they have to surgery get her a big pillow to hold across abdomen when she coughs ad laffs--that's about the worst part thankfully.

Dave. At least they found whats causing the problem and can fix it. Hopefully without the surgery. Once its cleared up she'll be fine in no time. Hang in there brother.

The Doc said today that they can possibly do the lypo or it will be the standard surgery. It was up to the surgen. I hope it's the lypo. Lypo is a 2 to 3 day down time, standard is a week to 2 weeks. She was barking orders at me today so she must be feeling better !!! And craving orange sherbert? or what ever that ice cream stuff is called. Yes i'm tired !!! Havn't been to bed yet and have to go to my daughters play tonight. Can't sleep there either , I have to video tape it for Moma !!! :D so we can watch it in the hospital tonight after the play..... :eek: Dave

Update : Jenn went into surgery this am and everything is well !!! It turns out, her appendix ruptured and the abbcess wrapped around her intestine and ovaries causing the blockage. A big blow out mess in my terms.The Doc was showing me the pic's and it looks just like a blow-out !!! Just left the hospital and she is sleeping. They should be able to remove the tube from her stomach and she should be on the down side of this. Thank you all for the prayers !!! I was pretty scared about this. She was very sick but handled it VERY well. Thanks again OSO !!! Dave Warden

That is very good news indeed.

She is lucky, both in having you and with the results of what happened. I lost an Aunt about fifteen years ago to a burst appendix. Just once in a while, good things happen to good people.

I can't tell you how up lifting it is to read these threads !!!! I just came back from the hospital from last night and she is doing great !!! Hopefully the Surgen comes in this am and gives orders to remove the tube from her stomach. They removed her oxygen this am. Running a little fever but they say that's good. It's the body fighting infection. Possibly a get out date of Monday or Tuesday. I hope, (I'm getting tired of sleeping in the chair) !!!! Anyhow, going to shower and head back. Thanks agin for all the prayers and kind words. You all are GREAT !!!

Glad things seem to be on the mend, I am glad they finally realized what was wrong, why did it take so long to find out it was her appendix. I know both of your are anxious for her to come in, but don't rush it it is nice to have the nursing care for a few days after surgery.

Who is staying with the girls while you are at the hospital.

Hey Donna and all, Jenn's parents came down from VA and my parents have been coming up to spend the nights with the kids. Little Dave is almost 17 so he is pretty self sufficiant. Mandi is the little "cuddle bug" at 8 years. Look's like she will come home tomorrow. All the tubes were removed today with the exception of the IV and a drain tube. The Doc is going to remove the drain tube in the morning and if she doesn't run a high fever or have alot of drainage, she will come home tomorrow afternoon. It's been a LONG week. It was a BIG relief just to get the stomach tube out. Thanks again to all. I told her tonight that ALOT of people prayed for her and she just smiled. It worked !!! Could have turned out real bad. Thanks Again to all !!!! I think we should have a party !!!! Dave

Thank You !!!! From the Warden Family. Just wanted to thank you all. I brought Jenn home from the hospital this am and she is doing GREAT !!! A little sore but she is a strong lady, "she has to be to be married to me for 22 years" !!!. Probably won't make it to Lauderdale but i'm just gald she is home. Thank you again !!!!
