I dont think i've ever heard anyone complain about their AC systems before. As long as you have one that will supply enough cold air for the space you want to keep cool you should be ok.
The company i work for makes the water cooling pumps for the Marine Air systems.....the only ones we usually get back are from the people who forget to winterize the pumps and they pop the freeze plug we have built into the pump housing.

DanB is right about Mermaid Marine Air--and they last forever too--mine was installed in 1987 and still works perfectly in an SR357. IT will chill it down in summer and keep it plenty warm in winter. Even better the folks at MMAir are great to work with and thier system has smallest footprint in industry.

Dan, you're actually the reason Ken posted this thread as we were talking about your boat. He's building a new one and I'm still looking at 35's. ;)

Ive got a Cruisair 12k split system that will drop the cabin 20 degrees in 20 minutes. I like having the compressor in the engine comp. Way quieter.
