Default How do I take off these Mufflers or de-baffle them ?

I have a 28zx with a single 454 mag and it has either mufflers on it or baffles in the exhaust. I want to take them off since I have captains call. The local shop said that I couldnt de-baffle it and would have to replace but they want 500+ dollars. any help is appreciated.

they are the lowest capacity Corsa transom mount muffler. Just as easy to get rid of 'em and put internal flapper staight tips in. They are through bolted, look for the three studs/washers/nuts around where your exhaust hose meets the transom on the inner tip. Easy fix if open exhaust is what you want.

Take them out and replace with straight tips, my friend had the same problem on his new Baja with 496ho, WOW what a difference, it was like the boat came to life. You can do it yourself tips should be around $300??

Good luck
