On a 300 X the merc premium plus is a fine oil, if you are looking for more protection, try Alisyn, Klotz, Redline full synthetics.
The merc Hi per oil is spectro golden, it is a blend.
I do not recommend the Penzoil, but if you do get it, make sure it is the full synthetic, not the blend that is commonly sold at wally world.
Remember good oil is cheep compared to a powerhead, and these " eggbeater" motors hare WAY more sensitive to fuel and oil than the inboard anchors.
