anyone keep their boat at Dockside 500 on Long Island?

Likes, dislikes and how are the mechanics on site?

Thinking of bring back my Sonic from Florida for the NY summer, gambling that it will be decent weather this year.

Sorry, but I don't know Dockside. However, if your interested in a good high and dry place, I keep my boat at Al Grovers' in Freeport.

Hey CBR how is it going.....we met at the NPBA Manhasset Bay run last year.....I keep my boat over in Oceanside...All Island Marine...they are very good for fixing things fast and the location is great....I am not far from the city for trips to the North Shore and not far from Fire Island for trips out east. The only bad thing is there is no hi and dry and you need to bottom paint or pull it out often for cleaning. Take care....John

I dock my Silverton at Dockside. Great out of the way marina. Nice Tiki Bar and restaurant. My friend that docks behind me had a 45 Sonic and is moving up to a 50 Hustler. There is no ramp only lift service. They do not do high and dry during summer. The marine mechanic at Dicksons are excelent but a bit pricey. Overall a great place with great people and fun Bar.

Just found my perfect hi dry today, looks like I'll be elsewhere.

Yes MM, I have not heard any complaints about their mechanics either. My marina motto: find good mechanics and then base my boat at whatever marina they are located at! The guys at Falcon Hi-Po have done great work on my boat also.

Are you bringing the "white shark" to Freeport this summer? Wondered why I did not see youse guys at TNT during the winter, heard you were further north.
