I was just wondering after looking at a lot of magazines and online websites everybody seems to call there boats offshore boats. So my question to you guys is what materials and rigging do you think make up an offshore boat or what qualities does a boat have to have to be an offshore boat?? This should get some good responces!!

Lets see....grossly over-priced, drinks gallons of gas per second, insurance per year is about 1/4 the value, parts cost is near extortion,.....BEST $ YOU'LL EVER SPEND!

I consider an offshore boat an addiction worse than any drug! Huge money spent for the real " High Times!" and even more spent for the "low times! Enjoy Wrink

Modern Offshore Performance Boat (to me):

1. No plexyglass windsheilds, hatches, etc. anywhere.

2. High freeboard.

3. Flush hatches.

4. Minimal accessories. I.E. TV's, Refrigerators, etc. Stereo is fine, but let's not over do it (Tyson ).

5. Adequate handles or grab bars for passengers.

6. Fresh water flushing system of some kind.

7. Sea strainers. (I've seen some without them. )

8. Hydraulic steering.

9. GPS plotter.

10. Chicks.
